About
Printer Under The Stairs is an emerging South African additive manufacturing company specialising in 3D printing, product development and practical manufacturing solutions. We work with businesses, engineers and product developers to turn ideas, concepts and existing components into functional physical products. Our hands-on approach allows us to respond quickly, solve problems creatively and deliver customised solutions across prototyping, replacement parts and small-batch manufacturing.
Capabilities
We provide CAD design and modification, functional prototyping, FDM 3D printing and small-batch manufacturing for a wide range of business applications. We work with PLA, PETG and ABS to produce prototypes, replacement parts, functional components, fixtures, models and customised products. We work with businesses at every stage of development, from early concepts and prototype samples through to production, and can advise on design, materials and manufacturing considerations. Our standard build volume accommodates parts up to approximately 25 cm, with larger components possible through strategic orientation, part segmentation and design optimisation. For suitable parts, batches of up to 200 units can typically be produced within approximately one week, depending on complexity and production requirements.
